pacific city, oregon

me and brent are about to leave the stimulus cafe in pacific city. we spent a night at cape outlook, just outside of tillamook (I think you can buy their cheese at hy-vee), right on the beach. I slept by a little hillock of grasses where lots of little twittery animals lived. we're riding along according to a well known "cycling the western coast" book, which tells us we should go another fortyfive or so miles by the end of the day (we went 15 getting here this morning, including a 1000 foot climb at anywhere between four and 13(!!!) percent grade). we're also riding along with a fellow named jacky from san francisco--we'll get there around the same time as him, and he offered to take us out for a night/help us with sleeping somewhere.

I'll have time to post pictures tomorrow, I think, as we're taking a day off. just wanted to post an update. our timeline for san francisco at the moment is two weeks at the earliest and around three at the latest.
